The ALMA spectral line database uses data from the Splatalogue project, an attempt to collate, rationalize and extend existing spectroscopic resources for use by the astronomical community. Splatalogue is a transition-resolved compilation of the JPL, CDMS, Lovas/NIST and Toyama Microwave Atlas catalogues, plus Frank Lovas' own Spectral Line Atlas of Interstellar Molecules (SLAIM), H, He and C recombination lines, data from Frank De Lucia's laboratory at The Ohio State University and new 13C1-methyl formate data provided by a group of spectroscopist working on internal rotors.
The Splatalogue effort would not be possible without the efforts of laboratories all over the world. Please visit the home page of http://www.splatalogue.net for the complete list of acknowledgments for the data contained in Splatalogue.
The initial list of molecular environments was first compiled based on David Woon's website at http://www.astrochymist.org/astrochymist_mole.html and refined by the Splatalogue team based on the published literature.
The ALMA-OT makes use of the SESAME service, operated at CDS, Strasbourg, France.
The ALMA-OT provides query access to images from the First and Second Digital Sky Surveys via services operated at the European Southern Observatory and the Canadian Astronomy Data Centre operated by the National Research Council of Canada with the support of the Canadian Space Agency.

Based on photographic data obtained using The UK Schmidt Telescope. The UK Schmidt Telescope was operated by the Royal Observatory Edinburgh, with funding from the UK Science and Engineering Research Council, until 1988 June, and thereafter by the Anglo-Australian Observatory. Original plate material is copyright © the Royal Observatory Edinburgh and the Anglo-Australian Observatory. The plates were processed into the present compressed digital form with their permission. The Digitized Sky Survey was produced at the Space Telescope Science Institute under US Government grant NAG W-2166.
